Book Display Installation

Pat Conover commissioned me to make ten small quilts. The quilts needed to depict different characteristics that were featured and discussed in his book, "Transgender Good News". The ten quilts comprised part of a book display installation. Each quilt measures 12" square. A variety of techniques were used for the pieces: applique, both hand and machine; machine pieced; machine quilted; foiled, hand embroidered. Each piece was designed to represent the associated word/concept.
