Margreta has admired Kumiko Sudo's designs. Kumiko is a Japanese quilter living in the States. Margreta's sense of color and style is influenced by the year that she spent in Japan. For Margreta, finding Kumiko's books (East Meets West, Fabled Flowers, Circles of the East, Fantasies & Flowers) is like finding a voice for what she has experienced. After trying her hand at Baltimore style applique, Margreta tried Sudo's work. Margreta enjoys working in her own color sense. Piece is machine pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted.
