Reunion 1998

Margreta went in October with her parents to a family reunion in the Netherlands. Here are a few photos from that trip.

Queen's Summer Place

With her aunt Greet and her parents, Margreta visited the Queen's Summer Place. Outside of the palace, many peacocks were wandering around. Case fed one. Always one to enjoy a good laugh, even at his own expense. Case then proceeded to try and act like a guardsman at the gate to the palace.

In addition to the exhibit of the Queen's garments, the gardens of the palace were also beautiful, even in October.

Zierikzee

With Margreta's parents, they drove down to Zeeland to visit family members of Case's. On the way, they stopped in a picturesque town called Zierikzee.

In the town, you can still walk on traditional cobblestone streets and see the old orange clay roof tops.

Zeeland

Walking along the seaside in Zeeland has often been a part of Margreta's family visits to the Netherlands. Even in October, some time has to be made for enjoying the sea.

Belgium

With Case's relatives, the family took a ferry ride to Belgium to enjoy a day trip out. While waiting for the ferry, they waited behind a truck that carried peanuts. Case went up to the driver and commented on how could the driver say these were the most tasty peanuts since Case hadn't tried them to agree with that statement. The driver gave him a small bag of peanuts. The whole exchange provided a lot of people a good laugh while waiting for the ferry.
