Prior to putting our townhouse on the market, we did some work on improving it. In some ways, after fixing and decorating, it was hard to imagine leaving it. But, we could definitely imagine leaving the commute behind. Here are some photos of our former home, highlighting some of Margreta's quilts that were scattered through out the house.
Our master bedroom with walk-in closet and bath. The bath had a separate shower stall.
The quilt rack in the master bedroom with a few quilts.
We used one of the other bedrooms for Jeffrey's study.
This room had a quilt on the couch. The quilt was made by Margreta's mom and her friends.
And the room had a small quilt on the wall.
The other room upstairs was used as Margreta's study.
The home had wide hallways and stairways, a good place for displaying quilts.
Plenty of wall space to decorate in the dining room and over the railing for the cut out floor.
The formal living room also had space for quilts, including a wall mounting quilt display rack.
The kitchen had lots of counter space and table space for eating.
And, once again, some wall space in the hallways for quilts.
The brown quilt was made by Margreta's mom. The other quilts were made by Margreta. The room has other quilts in progress and needlepoint done by Margreta.
The bedroom downstairs was Margreta's sewing space. The place where many of these quilts were made.
The home served us well for 8 years.
