Machine pieced, machine quilted.

Nine patches and hourglass blocks set together in a design loosely based on the October 2001 Quilters Newsletter Magazine idea. Blocks exchanged with Lynden, Washington Sew-n-Sew members.

While I enjoy doing my own individual work, I value what I gain from group projects like this one. I value the way group quilts connect me with old and new quilting friends across the country. I value the way group quilts challenge my piecing skills and my color placement choices. Group quilts encourage me to try new things.

This quilt was displayed at Williamsburg Quilt Festival in February 2004 and the American Quilters Society Paducah, Kentucky exhibit in April 2004.
