Margreta Made It - Usable Art - Journal Covers
Turning small bits of fabric into other useful items of support. Composition book covers, junior legal pad holders, folders for other papers, and notepad holders. Much of the work has been influenced by the ideas of Terri Stegmiller, Vicki Welsh and Sue Bleiweiss.

Composition Book Cover
I have a school age child. He uses his composition book cover for his school work. When composition books are cheap and easy to find, it is nice to be frugal with style. I first became aware of covers from the now out of print book, Creative Ways with Books and Journals.
Please check out my Etsy shop for current covers available that you can purchase.

Folder Folio
In the same way, I use leftover quilt blocks, coordinating fabrics and other fiber items to create a one of a kind holder to organize paperwork, particularly when going to meetings.

Refillable Junior Legal Pad Cover
When a composition book is a bit too much to carry, I often turn to my junior legal pad covers. I like that there is a pocket to store related papers.
The size is smaller and easily fits in my crossbody purse. How elaborate or how simple
I make these is up to me and my mood at the time (or what the fabric scraps are that I want to use).
I sell a number of these at local events so my inventory on them changes constantly.
Feel free to check my Etsy shop and feel free to ask me about what is currently ready to mail.
